KSZiA is a private education institution for adults. KSZiA is teaching adults since 1998 in the area of economy, administration, management. In their teaching methodology KSZiA is using ICT. KSZiA is also preparing the courses for unemployed. - Repatriates (Polish people sent East during and after II World War) in Cracow are a certain part of society since 1990. For the older repatriates it is difficult to socialize in new conditions. We elaborated cooperation with Repatriates Association in Cracow. Women from that association took part in a project that was meant to activate housewives to become  active citizens. We have great interest in that subject, because of social changes that are taking place in our municipality. As a training institution we would like to share our experience and also gain experience from other partners.

Faenza was a very quiet Italian town until 1995 when immigrants came from Africa ( Senegal, Nigeria, Marocco e.g.), Asia (Sri Lanka, Cina e.g.) and South America. Europeans came from Albania, Poland, Ukrainia, e.g.to take specially care of old people. We have now people with work- and residence-permit and others without. Our community tries to integrate immigrants in political life. Our school offers courses of languages, first of all Italian, then English, French, German, Cinese, Spanish and Russian and makes them participate in cultural events. Our project will be complementary to this proposal of integration.

A secondary school has an adult education department. Our specialization: vocational courses, supports of unemployed students who left school too early. Our region, the “Vale do Ave”, is under-developed with a high unemployment rate and a majority of unskilled workers. In 2006 we started a new kind of adult courses called EFA (Adult Education and Training Courses). The courses are destined to those who left school before end. The school has now 30 evening classes with about 500 students. - Portugal has become a destination for many immigrants: residents of Portuguese speaking countries, at present people from countries of Eastern Europe. There are half a million legal immigrants in Portugal. Thus the student population of adults in our school reflects this.
